Welcome to the SPN Website
The Sustainable Peacebuilding Network (SPN) is an international research initiative involving more than 20 scholars examining the requirements for sustainable peace in countries emerging from civil wars.
The project is co-sponsored by the University of Denver's Center for Sustainable Development and International Peace and the University of Ottawa's Centre for International Policy Studies. It is supported by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Several other leading international research institutions are also key partners in the project. The Project is an extension of the Research Partnership on Postwar Statebuilding (RPPS), which completed its work in early 2008. An edited volume based on the work of the RPPS was published by Routledge: Roland Paris and Timothy D. Sisk, eds., The Dilemmas of Statebuilding: Confronting the Contradictions of Postwar Peace Operations.
